How are public holidays set in Turkey?

National and public holidays are set by Law No. 2429 on National Holidays and Public Holidays: 1 January, 23 April, 1 May, 19 May, 15 July, 30 August and 29 October are full days, and 28 October is a half day from 13:00. The Ramadan Feast lasts 3.5 days and the Feast of Sacrifice 4.5 days, each starting at 13:00 on the eve; their dates move every year according to the calendar of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).
